Originally released in 2022, The King Is Dead Escape Plan was originally intended to be the first in a series of box-pressed, annual limited release cigars. As to date, The King Is Dead is the only blend to receive the Escape Plan treatment.

Escape Plan is a limited, box-pressed iteration of the original The King Is Dead blend, featuring all the same tobaccos but different primings and unique fermentation processes. While the original TKID EP deviated from the original blend, the 2025 version is once again a Dominican puro. Escape Plan offers a rich, pronounced flavor profile with a creamy finish.
