Edgar Hoill Little Green One

$8.99

Little Green One is a Smokers Abbey exclusive, blended by Edgar Hoill and named for our son Oran. It’s a candela version of Hoill’s own Cabronsito (a version of it atleast), keeping the same Mexican San Andrés binder and undisclosed fillers under a fast-cured candela wrapper. Candela locks in its green color instead of darkening through fermentation, and Oran’s name means little green one, so the wrapper carries his name literally. It comes in a single 4 x 44 vitola, sold as singles and in 18 count boxes (while supplies last. We cannot promise that you will get a box.)

Description

Little Green One is a Smokers Abbey exclusive, blended by Edgar Hoill and named for our son Oran. It’s a candela version of Hoill’s own Cabronsito. The binder and filler stay Mexican San Andrés. Only the wrapper changes. Furthermore, candela is cured fast to lock in its green color, rather than letting it darken through fermentation. In fact, that’s the only reason this wrapper is actually green. Therefore, it isn’t a coincidence: Oran’s name means “little green one,” and this cigar wears it literally.

Edgar Hoill joined us in person on September 12 for the release, part of our 9th Anniversary Celebration. It follows The Cub, the cigar we released with Ezra Zion Cigar Company in 2019 for our other son Quillen, whose name also carries Irish heritage. Additionally, Oran’s name carries a second meaning: song. A hummingbird marks the box for that reason, wings mid-flight and notes trailing from its beak, a little songbird that wakes at dawn to fill the quiet with a joyful melody. If Little Green One earns a spot in your humidor, the rest of Edgar Hoill’s line is here too. For pairing ideas, visit our Cigar Pairing Guide. Come find it in the lounge.
