Description

The Tatuaje Creature cigar has been five years in the making. Pete Johnson first introduced the Creature blend in the 2021 Monster Mash sampler as a tribute to the 1954 horror classic “Creature from the Black Lagoon,” and it returned in the 2024 Monster Smash collection. Both times, however, it arrived in a condensed format.

In 2026, the Creature was released in three vitolas for the first time

The Old Man and The C Monster is set containing two different formats, one to enjoy on your own, and one to share with friends.

One is a 7 X 44 Lonsdale, the other is a Culebra; three cigars woven on top of each other and meant to be smoked individually.  By tradion, Culebras are meant to me shared with friends and smoked at the same time.  Despite their uncommon appearance, Culebras allow the three cigars to age and sink into each other, giving new nuances to the flavor and smoking experience.

The blend is all-Nicaraguan with a double binder construction that adds body and complexity to the profile. Furthermore, Pete hasn’t disclosed the specific varietals or growing regions. The cigar tells you what you need to know. Cedar and earth lead the first third, while cocoa, leather, and a quiet natural sweetness develop through the second. The finish is long, warm, and rich in a way that makes you understand why fans have been chasing this blend since 2021.
