Description

Named in homage of women who contributed to the Mexican Revolution.

Sampetrina, named in honor of Petra Herrera, who also fought in the disguise of a man, though for the forces led by Pancho Villa. She went on to lead her own brigade of soldaderas, a group made up exclusively of women, after she felt she did not receive proper recognition for her contributions to the Revolution. Whilst smoking this medium to full-strength cigar, you will find organoleptic notes of pepper, nutmeg, cedar, cocoa, earth, molasses, and a toasted character. The ideal pairing for this cigar is an aged bourbon, due to the spirit’s complexity and sweetness.

Ángela Jiménez, known as “Teniente Angela” (Lieutenant Ángela) was a soldier, spy, explosives expert, flag bearer and sometimes a cook. Originally from Oaxaca, México, she fought in the Revolution with Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata’s guerrillas in the North and Center of the country.

She never let her gender define her strength, which is why her fearlessness was so remarkable and inspiring.

In this tobacco, you will find a rich combination of flavors and aromas ranging from wood, cocoa seeds, nuts, earth and black pepper. The ideal pairing for this cigar is Stout beer.
