The Candela No.2 Sampler brings together five cigars united by one wrapper: candela, the pale green leaf cured fast to lock in its color instead of darkening through fermentation. Two carry Smokers Abbey’s own signature: Little Green One, Edgar Hoill’s candela take on his Cabronsito built for our son Oran, and Ceathair, Sebastien Decoppet’s candela blend created specifically for our shop’s four-year anniversary. The other three come from La Flor Dominicana, RoMa Craft, and Illusione, each taking its own approach to the leaf, including a Final Allocation release that won’t be reordered once it sells through. Five wrappers, five factories, one shared color.

Little Green One (Smokers Abbey Exclusive)

Edgar Hoill built Little Green One as a candela version of his own Cabronsito, named for our son Oran, whose name means “little green one.” The binder and filler stay Mexican San Andrés; only the wrapper changes to candela. It comes in one vitola, 4 x 44, sold as singles and in 18 count boxes.

La Flor Dominicana Double Claro

La Flor Dominicana Double Claro is LFD’s first blend built around a candela wrapper. Additionally, an Ecuadorian Candela leaf covers Nicaraguan binder and Dominican filler. It comes in two vitolas: No. 50 at 5 x 50 and No. 48 at 6.5 x 48.

Cavalier Genève Ceathair (Smokers Abbey Exclusive)

Ceathair debuted in 2021 to mark Smokers Abbey’s four-year anniversary. Sebastien Decoppet blended it specifically for us, and Ceathair is Gaelic for “four,” a nod to Ian and Rebecca Harvey’s Irish heritage. It returned in 2025 as a full production release. Meanwhile, a Connecticut Seed Nicaraguan Jalapa Candela wrapper covers Habano binder and a filler blend of Honduran Viso Jamastran, Nicaraguan Viso Estelí, Paraguayan, and Nicaraguan Seco Ometepe. It comes in one vitola, Robusto Extra at 5 x 54.

RoMa Craft CroMagnon EMH Fomorian

The Fomorian takes RoMa Craft’s CroMagnon EMH and swaps its usual wrapper for an Ecuadorian Connecticut Candela leaf over Cameroon binder and Nicaraguan filler. Skip Martin blends it in the Gordo vitola, 5 x 56. Therefore, it’s exclusive to this sampler and isn’t sold as a standalone at Smokers Abbey.

Illusione Original Documents Candela

Illusione Original Documents Candela wraps Dion Giolito’s Nicaraguan filler in an AAA grade candela leaf, rolled at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa. It’s part of our Final Allocation, meaning once it sells through, it won’t be reordered. It comes in three vitolas: 88 at 5 x 52, 888 at 6.75 x 48, and HL at 7.5 x 40.
